RCC is BACK !

And we couldn’t have timed it better if we’d actually thought about it. Or even thought about how screwed RCC would be if there was no Rubber in the Rubber City.

So, like Akron, we dodged another bullet. Goodyear announces this week that it's staying in Akron, and we finally get our act together (after more than a year !) and re-launch RubberCityClothing.com to say we’re staying and committed and in love with Akron too. And we did it all without any help from the City.

We love Akron so much that we’ve made a huge pile of really unique Akron shirts, hoodies and hats (and we're working on baby and kids designs). We’ve also hired several awesome Akronites to manage the two swanky RCC kiosks at Summit Mall and Chapel Hill, and even set up our own little retail establishment in Historic Downtown Akron.

First the Akron Art Museum re-opens to worldwide acclaim, then Goodyear confirms its staying in Akron for at least 20 more years, and now Rubber City Clothing announces that we're back in business and ready to promote Akron to the World.

It’s definitely a good year for the Rubber City.

When you visit our website (which is still not complete, so bear with us and check back often ) you'll find RCC favorites like Survival of the Fittest (shown right) and Route 8 are back and available in a range of colors.

You'll also find a bunch of new designs like Think Rubber, Akron Witnessed First and Enjoy Akron. Many are available in both short and long sleeve, and some are also available as hoodies.

We print on American Apparel, Hanes, Gildan and Jerzees so you will definitely find your size and fit.

To make RCC shirts even more totally unique, we've designed all of our shirts with the RCC logo on the back in a 'Yoke' design (roughly 2.5" x 3.5"). You'll catch people looking at you coming and going.

If you are fortunate enough to actually be in the Rubber City, you can find our gear at Summit Mall (near Starbucks) and Chapel Hill (near Steve and Barry's), and of course at our store in Historic Downtown Akron at 18 North High Street.
